The world needs all kinds of minds
I heard of for the first time today about Temple Grandin who is a very interesting lady and I found this wonderful Ted talks video
where she speaks of the world needing kinds of minds and I couldn't agree any more I love this talk I am always a big believer that you can really do anything you want to do, no matter what disability you feel you have or you have been told you have.
Although Matthew has many different types of things going on and you never really know what day you are going to have, I still make sure he is creative and he loves to read and of course loves the computer so there is many different things he can do on his own.
I love how Temple thinks and sees things, like the way I think children should be taught through their interests and not all trying to fit in the same system, instead chang the system to fit the child.
This is one of the main reasons I chose to home school my children before and why I am homeschooling Loki. I know it isnt for everyone and I know there are many people who see issues with it and that is okay.
There are many different brains just like there are many different people what is good for one person is not good for all, this includes the school system, the work place and in all of society.
It is okay to be different, it is okay to think differently, it is okay to feel differently, it is okay to be you..
The world needs you just the way you are..
