My Birthday

Many People expect happy birthday wishes on their birthday but I know by now that I dont always get them from Matt and at this time in his life he is again focusing on FOOD.

Now for many myself included this would be upsetting, disapointing or even frustrating and believe me myself and Matts sisters have all gone through taking this part personally, how come he cant just wake up happy wish me a happy birthday? I know we want to be appriciated, I know we want to be loved, I know..

I have learned that Matt can only be Matt and that is truly okay with me, it has taken a bit of time but I no longer take things like this personally, I wake up on my birthday morning and appriciate myself, knowing that I may or may not get well wishes or anything for my birthday and my awesome Matt may remember or may not remember that today is my birthday and that is okay.

His focus is on what he has been focusing on for many months, FOOD and getting a computer, I get his breakfast and as soon as he is finished he is quickly to say I will wait for a snack.

Dont take things so personally, allow them to be who they are, love them anyway, I know Matt at some point will be in the place where he will hug me, or tell me he loves me it just may not be today..

No matter what the day is make it the best for you and you will find that everything and everyone will all follow in the best day ever and if they dont thats okay to because you wont notice because you are having the best day ever.

I love spending every day with Matt and I am glad he is here with me for my Birthday <3
