I know I am handy cap

"I know I am handy cap" I hear my son say to me

I am not sure where he heard this or why he decided to think this but I do realize at this time he is feeling he has a disadvantage then most others.

"Well if you believe you do them you do" I say to him

I go on to explain "Matt we all have something, some have illness's, some have disabilities and others have other things, but everyone has something they have to go through in life."

"You can see yourself as a handy cap although I do not like that term or you can see yourself as a hero." I say "it is your choice you do get to choose you."

I am a big believer in you can choose you and yes I tell my kids this all the time including Matt, I know sometimes we feel bad about where we are or who we are in life and we all have challenges to go through, so have disabilities, some have illness's and many more things in life we have to go through, but you have a choice on how to handle them.

You can choose to see your situations differently, stop feeling sorry for yourself, start empowering yourself, start realizing how truly amazing you are, learn to love yourself unconditionally, you are your own hero, believe in you.
