Sometimes he can and sometimes he cant

There are days that Matt can understand what is going on and can follow simple instructions and then there are days he doesn't understand anything. And you never know what Matt is here till you know.

Before I head out for my walk with our dog Fenris I tell Matt who is having a bath Matt wash your hair and your body please (Yes sometimes he needs a reminder even though he is in the bath.) My husband is awake and listening for Matt so it was safe for me to leave him while I took a walk.

As I came back Matt was out of the tub and not to happy, I want sure what happened but I knew something happened with his bath.

I smile at him and say hi and he says "I am sorry I didnt wash my hair." I reply "its okay I will help you next time"

Mike had asked him if he had washed up while he was in the bath but he got upset because he forgot to.

It happens and sometimes we never know if he understands or not. We never know.

The next time I go in and help him wash his hair, I give him soap and walk him through how to wash up and step by step he gets it.

Yes sometimes we have days like this.

We never know what he can and cant do in the moment.

All we can do is be patent, loving and kind.
