What helps reduce seizure activity? A list of what we have found.
For over 15 years now we have been trying to find something that will help Matthew with his seizures all with some degree of success but not 100% and some so low not even worth mentioning.
Food has a lot to do with seizure activity and what we fiund out was that low carb really helped to reduse seizures fir Matt. He went from seizure activity all through his brain redused to a small portion of his brain on one side. Yes it was a great victory because I had to battle with the doctors to even begin a diet with him.
After awhile we began adding in gluten free foods for him which is also working well.
Redused stressfull inviorment, moving away from anyone and anything that was causing stress. We had to move away from stressful people and move closer to family to help us out. Although everywhere you go you still can find stressful people you can learn to not allow them to impact your life.
What a differance it is when Matt doesnt get stressed out when he isnt around stressful people, he doesnt feel he has to fix everything or everyone.
Nature being in nature helps in so many ways, reduces stress, fresh air is good for the body and the brain which helps reduce seizures. It really has help with Matt, it helps his moods and helps with side effects of the seizures.
CBD/THC yes both these have help in so many ways destressing, over thinking. over focusing, it helps with the side effects of the seizures and helps to reduce seizurs.
The more we learn, the more we experiment the more we learn.
After 15 years of helping someone with epelepsy I have learned there are many things that have worked along the way so dont give up.
Dont believe everything you are told about epilepsy or seizure disorder, do your own research try new things. Destress often, go into nature iften, try new diets or ways of eating, try other medicinal treatments.
Learn all you can about what is helping others now.
There are ways to live seizure free. Just keep with it.
