Small wins

Small wins seem like big wins at times.

When Matt is able to enjoy the Pumpkin patch with us, when he fallows along with us while being the most coherent he has been in awhile. Aware of what is going on, enjoying the animals, enjoying the corn trail and even getting envolved in playing and being part of the group and sitting in a pig.

Being able to go out and enjoying ourselves not havibg to worry about anger, not having to worry about seizuries, not having to worry about anything and just having fun, running around exploring being a kid again was a wonderful time for all of us.

And all though this was an amazing day the happiness on his face, the joy he shared, it was the following day that truly filled my heart. Matt came into my room and said "Mom I just seemed to play with Loki." Smile came to my face, "oh yea I say." "Yes it seems like I just tickelled him." Matt says so proudly.

My heart fills up so very hsppy. I have always wanted to have Loki and Matt to have a good relationship and to be able to play with out being supervised or with out be asked and here I was listening to Matt tell me with pride and joy that he was having fun plaing with his little brother.

Yes these days are small wins for us Matt able to enjoy the day, able to have fun, be coherent and to play around but they seem more like BIG wins.

These are the moments we are working towards. These are the moments to remember.

So grateful we have come this far. Today is a good day.

Celebrate the small wins and enjoy them like they are big wins.
