Side effects to Anti Seizure drugs
Here is a video on a few of the Anticonvulsant drugs out there the side effects them self are pretty scary. Side effects are the worst part of taking any drug, side effects that cause other medical issues is never a good thing.
For us with Matt some of the worst was depression, tremors, insomnia, twitching, behavior changes, difficulty concentrating, sleepiness, weakness, poor coordination, unsteadiness, fatigue, difficulty thinking or talking, confusion, and many more.
When he gets blood test he gets tested for his liver and kidney just to make sure they are not damaged from these drugs.
It is so difficult to want to give these to him every day. Fighting with Drs to change medication because the others are not working or having such difficult side effects. Having to find other was to treat him even with these drugs. Drug stop working because body is now immune to the drug.
These side effects are to risky to use these drugs but at the time I was at a loss of what else to do for my son.
