Missing someone
Missing someone
Its difficult when you miss someone, its difficult for all of us, some we miss because they have passed on and some we miss because they or we have chosen not to have them in our life any more.
This is no different for Matt, he is reminded by something he see's or he hears, or sometimes it just comes to him and he remembers.
Yes sometimes it comes right out of the blue, when it is someone who has passed away its a little easier then when it is someone who just has nothing to do with you any more, different when it is you who have chosen to not connect with them although you may miss them you still remember why you aren't ready to connect with them.
Every once and awhile I hear Matt say " I miss ......", I usually nod my head and say "Yes I know you do bud." Although he can connect with them he is not sure the other person even whats to spend time with him any more it has been a very long time to connect with him.
I remind him I can try to connect with him if he wants to try, he usually nods and then we go about our moments.
Missing someone or missing who they were to us and the times many good stay with us, or its just the thought of that person and how we remember that memory but what ever it is, it is there and we miss them.
Matt is very loyal and sensitive (like his mom) and he has a difficult time understanding those who are not, but at this moment in time he is beginning to get an idea of who people choose to be and allows them to be who they want. I am sure I will always get the statement "I miss ......" and that is okay I know that he understands that it has nothing to do with him and he is an amazing young man.

P.S. Love who you are with now, cherish the time you have and allow them to go when it no longer feels right, missing them is better then betraying you.
