Beware of scammers
A "doctor" contacted me on youtube asking how Matt was after one of the seizure videos I posted, I responded that he was well, doing good once he woke up as that is usually how it works for him, Matt never knows what is going on when he has a seizure, doesn't even know it is happening.
The "doctor, Dr Parastat Dimitris" wanted to connect with me personally so I gave him my website and Life with Matt facebook page .
He (the "dr") connected with on Facebook and began telling me he was a Neurologist/epileptologist who does free test on for epilepsy to see for photosensitive and other things that are causing the seizures. I have been through all the test with Matt for many years I know that he has come a long way and I know that I am really not that interested in doing any test to tell me things I already know and beside how can you get a good reading in a not so quiet space?
Any way he was very knowledgeable or so he seemed but everything he spoke of I could google lol. He (the "dr") said he offers the test's for free because his of personal reason someone he loved passed away because of this, he did not ask history, did not want to find out what we were doing to help Matt or what works for him, he just kept trying to get us to do the test.
I had a feeling he was not who he said he was, we couldn't do a video chat, he didn't show me his degree, there is no references and his face book account was a personal one with very limited posts and photos.
I am pretty good about knowing what to look for when a scammer is connecting with me however I wanted to believe that he was really who he said he was, someone out there wanted to help others for free.
That being said I did not find out for sure one way or another on if he is really who he said he is, there is no research he could send me, no testimonials, nothing at all from him and when he I did my own research I only found his name come up on video's he has replied to but I could not see the video or the other persons reply so no where is there anything on this person who says he is and does what he says.
Be aware that these things happen, be aware that this can happen and do your research and always trust yourself. By the way the University he said he was from was AUTH Greece university.
