Longer nights bring the chance of more seizures

Darker times, longer nights, less day light, cloudier days, rainy days, all bring a chance of more seizures.

Last nights seizure was pretty bad, it was longer then normal, he hurt his mouth and made it bleed, he was clenched so.tight it was so hard to watch, the after math even took longer for him to come out of.

To watch anyone go through this is difficult, when they begin to get worse and worse longer and longer it gets more and more difficult.

I wish there was a magic wond, I wish there was a special wish, I wish there was a cure but nope there isn't infact there still is not much know about this illness.

So the darkness comes and so do more, longer more difficult seizures.

This time of year esspecially is difficult for Matt as his birthday is right around the corner and this has him stressing about it, he is also reminded about his absent father who makes an apperance in his thoughts from time to time wondering where he is and why he hasnt been in touch for years.

These times are the hardest on us all.

Fact: Lack of sunlight can create more seizure activitys. 

Vitamin D helps with this as well as a sun lamp however it is not a end.to.seizures but it has been know to help Matt very much.

I give Matt Viramin D everyday and more in the fall and wintet and I put his sun lamp on for an.hour a day.

These are just some of the things we do with him in fall and winter, we incourage him to come outside more on nice days and even join us for walks, every bit helps.

I have been hoping for a cure for Epilepsy but there really is not enough research being done, only phaarmacutical trials for drugs that wear off and the body becomes immune to.

More people are diagnosed with Epilepsy everyday, there is no none cause it just happens.
