Allow children to help or not that is the question
I myself never thought about it much, it has always been part of who we are, seizures are a part of our life so why would my younger children learn to help out?
From as far back as I can remember Loki has always been apart of it not only when he was little and on my hip but also as he got older and would begin to inform me if I didnt hear Matt have one.
Watching me as Matr goes through these episodes (seizures and the aftermath) he has learned to be calm and talk to Matt during them.
Staying calm is key during most things and especially a seizure you need to make sure you are with it to monitor what is happening and a calm voice seems to help with the seizure activity.
I just never thought there would be controversy on if Loki should be in the room or not while his brother is having a seizure.Â
During this video in the link below there have both good and bad responces and I have appreciated both as it helped me see how others see things.
But for me I believe a young child can help so much and become more compationet because they have learned to help.
Watch the video below and let us know what you think.
