When your gone

Dreams can mean a lot to some and they can even be something we hold on to. I am talking about sleeping dreams and not Dreams and goals that you have.

Matt had a dream a while ago about his birth dad dying and he told me about it I reasured him his dad was okay and I thought nothing of it.

A while later maybe a few weeks past and again it came up and again I reassured him that I am sure his dad was fine just probably busy and stuff.

Today I said maybe you can call your dad today and he said which one? I said well you dont need to call Mike he is here and Matt again mentioned about his dad being died.

When your gone for so long I guess it is hard for others to understand what is happening, I know that is how it is with Matt. I can tell him that all is well but it will always come back to this.

Matt is different he doesnt understand time absence like we would, actually I dont think any of us handle it to well we just do the best we can with what ever we are going through.

Loss is loss weather it is long times between visits, calls, or conversations and sometimes it is like a death.

Today I was reminded of this with Matt.

For Matt this means when you are gone for a long period of time no calls, no visits could means and ctually does mean to him that you are dead.

Be the loving being you came here to be, tell all those around you that you love them and are excited to spend time with them. spend time with them connect with them, call them and be a part of their life.

This was a good reminder for me as well as my daughter moves away from home and is working I can pick up the phone and remind her how much I love her. It is easy to do when they are with me but we forget how much they need it when they are grown and moved out.

I love you, I am proud of you and I appreciate every moments we spend together.
